Jeuveau: Discovering the New, Cheaper Alternative to Botox
Are you sick and tired of your frown lines, also known as glabellar lines or “the elevens” staring back at you in the mirror? Since 2002, Dermatologists have recommended Botox to do the job of pushing back against creases. But now there is a new, cheaper, FDA approved alternative called Jeuveau that can do the job just as well.
How Jeuveau Works
Wrinkles are brought on by your facial muscles pulling on your skin. Some of this is necessary for movement and communication, but facial muscles don’t know when to quit. And unfortunately they don’t consider wrinkles a problem.
You know better. Wrinkles can make you look tired, old, and worn down, even while you still feel young and full of energy. Many people use increasing amounts of makeup to try to cover up these creases, but this can be expensive, time consuming, and irritate the skin. Others go in for a more cause-focused solution.
Sometimes called “Newtox” (or #newtox), Jeuveau is very similar to Botox, which has been the gold standard of wrinkle relaxers for almost two decades. Like Botox, Jeuveau is also derived from a botulinum toxin that is injected in safe, small doses into facial muscles.
This solution works for thousands of people. That much is clear from their creaseless, shiny faces. But how exactly does it work?
The Difference Jeuveau Makes
Jeuveau takes its name from the French word nouveau, meaning “up-to-date” or “modern.” The drug temporarily paralyzes facial muscles and stops them from pulling hard enough to create wrinkles. This creates smooth skin free from furrows.
The full effects of Jeuveau last for about a week but it continues to smooth out wrinkles for several months after. This gives you smoother, more vibrant, younger looking skin that you don’t have to use cosmetics to cover up.
Is Jeuveau Right for You?
If you’ve considered Botox but it was just outside your price range, Jeuveau might make you rethink that decision. It is strikingly similar to Botox but it sells at a lower price point, making regular facial rejuvenation that much more affordable.
While Jeuveau is very similar to Botox and is just as effective, it’s also subtly different. Customers who use Botox regularly might want to try Jeuveau to see if they like the results, and the lower bill, better.
Jeuveau is synthesized at a state-of-the-art pharmaceuticals factory in South Korea. The Jeuveau factory uses a different purification process than Botox, which may lead to better results in some cases.
What’s more, the effects of Jeuveau were studied in 2,100 patients across five clinical studies before it was approved by the FDA. Patients in these studies had no drug-related adverse reactions. The drug has a general profile that make it as safe to use as Botox.
